Early last week, the Chicago Tribune got word of which acts would be headlining this year’s Lollapalooza, reporting that Eminem, Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon would all headline the Chicago music festival taking place August 1-3 in Grant Park.
So with the release of the official announcement today (March 26), it’s no surprise to see each of those names on the bill. But, there were a few new acts added to the list of headliners including OutKast, Foster the People, Calvin Harris, Lorde, Avett Brothers.
Other artists scheduled to play the 2014 fest, which will boast a lineup of more than 100 bands playing across eight stages, include Broken Bells, Grouplove and Glen Hansard.
Tickets for the festival officially went on-sale March 25 with the fest offering a limited number of early bird 3-day passes at $225, which unsurprisingly sold out in less than 24 hours. The 3-day passes are now up for grabs at $250 with single day passes going for $100.
